EMDR Can Help You Heal

Feeling anxious, angry, frustrated, or scared easily? These can all be reactions to past trauma that have been engrained in our bodies. When traumatic or disturbing events happen in our lives, emotions can remain stuck in us that affect the way we react to everyday situations.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (or EMDR) is an evidence-based form of psychotherapy that uses the brain’s natural ability to heal itself.

EMDR uses eye movements or left-right tapping to help change the brain’s automatic response to past traumas and future stressors.

While EMDR does not change painful memories, it changes the way you perceive those memories by helping change your emotional response to them.
